This internship position offers the opportunity for a detail-oriented team player to learn all aspects of business management. The intern duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Office management (filing, scanning, etc.)

  • Royalty tracking for artist and publishing royalties

  • Reviewing touring performance and merchandise income settlements

  • Any other special projects that come up during their time with KBFM

 

Throughout the internship, the intern will gain:

  • A better understanding of the various sources of income and expenses within the music business

  • Hands on experience with accounting software created specifically for business management

  • A greater ability to focus on the details and numbers that make the music industry work

 

We are seeking a rising junior or senior studying accounting, finance, music business, or entertainment industry studies. The ideal candidate would have experience in Microsoft Excel, excellent verbal communication skills, and general knowledge in accounting and the music industry.

 

If organization and reliability are your touchstones, this is the right place for you. Attention to detail is a must. If you’re good with numbers and fact-checking, you will fit right in.

 

This is an unpaid position but can offer school credit if applicable.
